    deVine Wines and Spirits
    Item #8 - 1991 Graham's Vintage Port

One of the ports of the 1991 vintage which produced very little vintage port. A so-called split vintage because half the producers declared, while the other half decided to declare the 1992 instead. Sweet and alluring, the Graham's is rounding nicely into its drinking window.
Robert Parker: 94 points - Graham's 1991 Vintage Port gets my nod as the port of the vintage. While keeping in mind that Graham's aims for a sweeter-styled port, there is no doubting the opaque purple/black color, or the explosive nose of black fruits, licorice, spring flowers, and tar. Thick and full-bodied, with a satiny texture and a blockbuster, alcoholic finish, this is a top-notch vintage port.

    deVine Wines and Spirits
Item #9 - Mill Creek Ravine - Oil on Canvas (12x16in)

Not to be confined by the rigid rules of art Ramsey has always maintained his individuality by stepping outside of linear thought patterns at an early age and the masters of art whose works he studied in France, Holland, London and New York are his teachers. Ramsey paints with brilliant coloured oils on fine Belgian linen and his pieces are unique in that they may be displayed in both traditional and modern decor - timeless motifs are carried throughout his works. His own pieces reflect his life; the triumphs and failures, the excitement and ennui. Currently, his works hang in the homes of many private art collectors in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton. In 2008 Ramsey was approached to design a label for a Bordeaux-style shiraz that was aptly called 'Le Petite Pistole' and red and white Australian wines called 'Richie Tree'.

The colours of nature in its prime are the focal point of this abstract painting. Vast strokes of rigid colours emphasize the fluidity, coarseness and brute force of the beauty of the unchartered and unchanged wild that still exists in our lives. This illustration of nature at its most basic was the inspiration for Ramsey as he completed 'Mill Creek Ravine' in 2008. The formidable reds give way to the life-breath of purples and blues, breaking through to vivid greens. The simplicity of Ramsey's painting 'Mill Creek Ravine' is a timeless reflection of the robust and alluring simplicity of the natural in life.

The long, juicy finish has great grip and density, with echoes of graphite, dark fruit and mineral. Should greatly reward cellaring. Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Item #17 - Domaine de Cristia Renaissance Chateauneuf-du-Pape Magnum

A magnum of the magnificent 2005 Cristia Cuvee Renaissance Chateauneuf. Superb bottling for short-term aging from a legendary vintage.
Robert Parker: 95+ points - The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Renaissance (70% old vine Grenache aged in neutral wood and 30% Mourvedre aged in small oak casks) possesses a dense purple color as well as complex aromatics of soy, blueberries, blackberries, charcoal, and truffles. Deep, concentrated, dense, and rich, it has even more structure than the Vieilles Vignes cuvee (no doubt due to the Mourvedre component), but is somewhat more forward in the mouthfeel. Again, patience will be required. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025.

Item #45 - Print of 1999 Mouton Rothschild Label Unframed

Prints of Mouton-Rothschild, the famous First Growth Bordeaux estate is only given out to charity auctions and not available for purchase otherwise. It is an artist's dream to be selected to create a Mouton label and in 1999, that honor belonged to Raymond Savignac. Born in Paris in 1907 of parents from the Aveyron region, who kept a cafe-restaurant, Raymond displayed a gift for caricature as a child and led him to fame as an international poster designer. With a wink and a kick of his heels, the ram, the Mouton totem, this design invites us to the pleasure of wine-drinking and briskly dismisses the closing millennium.

Robert Parker: 95+ points. The 2005 Dominus continues to strut its stuff, tasting like a Napa hybrid blend of a St.-Emilion and Pomerol. Its dark ruby/purple-tinged color is followed by notions of cedarwood, spice box, roasted herbs, sweet black cherry and cassis fruit, licorice, and truffles. Full-bodied with excellent fruit intensity, complex aromatics, supple tannins, and a long finish, this 7,000-case blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot should drink well for two decades or more.
