Bordeaux 2009 - Right Bank

2009 is already a legendary vintage talked about loudly in comparisons with other great vintages as 1959, 1961, 1982, 1990, 2000, 2005 and next year's 2010.
The Right Bank wines are Merlot dominant, with St. Emilion around 60%, the rest CabFranc. Pomerol is the most famous Merlot producing region in the world, and the mix here is roughly 80-20 Merlot and CabFranc, sometimes 100% Merlot.
Here is a list of what's available from the Right Bank. St. Emilion has its own Grand Cru classification system while Pomerol with its high priced wines is the only great appellation that doesn't have a classification system. As production is miniscule compared to sites from the Left Bank, many of these we only have a few bottles for sale, so grab yours quickly before it sells out. These must haves for the Merlot lover will be hard to come by down the road, they will be exceptional wines to open for that special occasion.
