Made from old vine Malbec, this wine is rich and dark in appearance. The aromas show plums and vanilla, while the palate reveals several layers of flavour: plums, licorice, and vanilla. The texture is concentrated but the long, ripe tannins give the wine a rich, satisfying finish. A textbook Malbec.

The 2008 Malbec Seleccion de Bodega was sourced from a cool vintage. Fragrant violets and other floral notes mingle with black cherry and Asian spices to form a pleasing perfume. This sets the stage for a structured, savory wine that requires another 2-3 years of cellaring to lose some excess tannin. The wine seems to have the requisite balance to achieve ultimate harmony.
