Juan garcia Jarana, the motorcycle magnate of Jerez, sells a portion of his soleras to Lustau for this delicate Oloroso. It starts with notes of candied almonds,hazelnuts, walnuts, coconut palm syrup and caramel. The hint of salinity lends complexity and freshness, wtithout diminishing that delicate, pleasing sweetness. Coffee, bitter chocolate and baked fruits on the long finish. Tellingly nutty.
