Computer problems at home.
Great to hear about the Bordeaux news but I would like to mention that I am on a Pinot Gris kick right now..(again)! I have just revisited an old fave of mine, the Sandhill (Okanagan). The `06 is on your shelf and this is one of the drier PGs I have come across. They are hard to find, in fact on winelovers page.com, we are looking at PG all month. Trimbach from Alsace seems to be very dry, maybe others want to chip in here?!!

Only very occasionally we will be offered 375ml’s. I’ll keep an eye out for it, but so far, i have seen very little offered in any format. We’re lucky we purchased a lot of the current inventory as futures.
cheers, Dirk

It’s great that you were able to get some 2005 Bordeaux in magnums, but I’m actually more suited to the opposite end of the spectrum. Any chance of getting any half bottles other than the Caronne St. Gemme?

Some of your Bordeaux futures have arrived, but we are holding everything until the entire order is complete before releasing it. Most of these new arrivals are probably a little bottle shocked, so we haven’t opened a single bottle yet. We will be holding a 2005 Bordeaux tasting in late October. As Margaux is one of the preferred appellations in this superb vintage, i am sure the Pavillon Rouge will be wonderful. Giving the arrival prices, you should be patting yourself in the back for purchasing the futures.
cheers, Dirk

I’m glad you obviously was successful in subscribing for an id and posting. We’ve got some fine tuning to do, but we wanted the blog up and running for Annabelle & Ed’s immenent photos from Alsace where they’re visiting Zind-Humbrecht, Weinbach and Zinck in short order. As for the CdR, it is indeed an excellent wine for the money. I was surprised how forward and forthcoming it was. cheers, Dirk

I am a frequent visitor to quite a few wine blogs as well as taking part in a couple of wine forums on a regular basis!!
I hope this blog will develope into something that is relaxed, fun, educational. Hopefully we will also get some customer reactions to wines recently purchased at DeVines. I am a TN geek!!

I thought the `05 Cotes du Rhone from Cuilleron, Gaillard and Villard on the tasting bar the other day was a very good Rhone for $20. Buy more and often!!
