Our feature this week is their 2020 Château Ste. Michelle Riesling (Washington – Columbia Valley, United States) – $15.99 (regularly $19.99).
Founded in 1967, Chateau Ste. Michelle is Washington’s oldest and most acclaimed winery featuring award-winning wines and unparalleled tasting experiences at our historic chateau located in Woodinville, Washington, near Seattle.
The wineries’ roots go all the way back to the Repeal of Prohibition circa 1912 when the estate was owned by Seattle lumber baron Frederick Stimson.
Most famous for its Riesling production, the winery makes over 8 million bottles of the various Rieslings annually. This everyday drinker has some sweetness to it, but not overly sweet.
Winemaker’s Notes: “Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Riesling is a blend of Riesling from throughout Washington’s Columbia Valley. The wine offers crisp apple aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. This is Chateau Ste. Michelle’s “everyday Riesling” that is a pleasure to drink and easy to match with a variety of foods.”
