Tawainese Whiskies from Kavalan

Kavalan is the distillery that put Taiwanese whisky on the map, and it has been wowing drinkers around the world since it launched its first whisky in 2008. Known for its tropical-fruit style, it has won a host of prestigious awards in a very short time.

Produced in the Taiwan countryside and now available in 60 countries, Kavalan has won more than 220 international awards. More recently, it won the International Wine & Spirit Competition Worldwide Whisky Trophy 2017 and the International Spirits Challenge Trophy for two years in a row, in 2016 and 2017.

Germany – Beyond Riesling

The North American misconception about German wines is that it is always sweet Rieslings. Well, in this stand-up tasting, we will dispel all that with an evening of all dry German wines.

The whites will include a Chardonnay, a white Pinot Noir, Rivaner, Sauvignon Blanc and Scheurebe. And for some lighter reds for the summer, we’ll sample a sparkling Dornfelder and the little known red grape called Acolon. Thus, you’ll learn that Germany is beyond merely just a Riesling producing country… An intriguing evening will be had by the inquisitive and adventurous.

As summer is here (well maybe), and we’re finally going to get some heat, it is time for the rosés to take center stage. We have more rosés for you to choose from than ever before, the section has practically bursting at the seams. We have many selections from hotbed of France of course, but Italy, Austria, Spain, South Africa, Chile, Greece and Germany are all represented. Nothing is better for outdoor drinking be it on the deck, a picnic, or a barbecue. Nothing fancy or expensive, just something pink that gives great drinking pleasure.
