Our online feature this week is the Yalumba “Gen” Organic Viognier (South Australia) – $20.99, regularly $25.99.

Established in 1849, Yalumba is Australia’s most historic family (6 “gen”erations) owned wine company. It remains fiercely independent and extremely progressive through the generational ownership by the Hill-Smith family.

Yalumba’s longevity and continued success is a result of their dedication, patience, collaboration and progressive thinking. They embrace minimalist approach to utilizing the natural terroir to craft wines with individual character and a sense of purpose, a spirit to reinvest in the land that it grows upon. It is committed to sharing stories of provenance and history gathered over more than 169 years of history of family winemaking.

Our feature this week is their “Gen” Organic Viognier. The GEN is 100% certified organic and sustainably made. It is full of exotic aromas and complex fruit flavours. Straw in colour with green hues. Complex aromas of honeysuckle, lemon rind, apricot and peach mingle with hints of cashew and fresh pineapple. The palate is rich and textured, with a luscious mouthfeel with layers of spice, citrus and apricot showing the distinct Viognier varietal characters that persist through to the lovely fresh finish. A great food wine that pairs perfectly with a variety of international cuisines.

Our online feature this week is the Bailly Lapierre Saint-Bris Sauvignon Blanc (Burgundy, France) – $25.49 , regularly $30.99.

Saint-Bris is an Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC) for white wine in the Burgundy wine region of France. It is located around the village of Saint-Bris-le-Vineux in the Yonne department, a few kilometers southwest of the Chablis AOC area, and southeast of the city of Auxerre. Saint-Bris is unique in that it is the only appellation in Burgundy that allows for the Sauvignon (Blanc and Gris) to be planted instead of the requisite Chardonnay or Aligote grapes allowed elsewhere in Burgundy.

Bailly Lapierre is cooperative that feature 430 winegrowers and has been around since 1972. It is located In Auxerrois, at the northern limits of Burgundy. The house produces refreshing, balanced and serious Cremant de Bourgogne sparkling wines from their unique and distinctive terroir.

Our feature this week is their Saint-Bris Sauvignon, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc – it is an elegant, mineral-rich Sauvignon Blanc with Burgundian finesse. It balances crisp citrus, herbal nuances, and subtle stone fruit – finished with an unique herbal touch, floral notes and clean minerality. It’s a standout choice for seafood and cheese, offering a sophisticated alternative to both Chablis and crisp Loire wines. A lovely ‘baby’ Sancerre that doesn’t break the bank! Try with shellfish or a seafood stew.

Our online feature this week is the Hacienda Los Haroldos Conejo Verde Blanc de Blancs (Menodza, Argentina) – $17.49 , regularly $20.49.

Los Haroldos is located in the North Valley of Mendoza, Argentina, in the San martin departament. Owned by the Falasco family, it is one of Argentina’s leading family-owned wineries. Today, it is run by their fourth generation led by Franco Falasco, who continues the story that began back in 1939.

Due to the effort and a long life endeavors of the family, today the company continues its dedicated efforts to progress and the creation of high quality wines, which stands out because of the technological innovation, commitment and passion.

Our feature this week is their Conejo Verde Blanc de Blancs, a still white blend of 50% Viognier, 30% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Torrontes. made by acclaimed winemaker Pablo Sanchez. Aromatic on the nose with herbaceous notes. Fresh and crisp in the mouth with tropical fruits and a long finish. Delicious on a hot, sunny day, a fine outdoor sipper.

Our online feature this week is the Avignonesi Cantaloro Rosso (Tuscany, Italy) – $17.99, regularly $22.99.

Avignonesi is located in the rolling hills of Montepulciano, Tuscany. Named for the family that founded the winery, Avignonesi has been led by Virginie Sayers since 2009. The estate is certified organic and then later biodynamc – they are famous for their Vino Nobile di Montepulicano and their rare and expensive Vin Santo dessert wines.

Our feature this week is their Cantaloro Rosso , a modern red blend that delivers everyday elegance with a signature Montepulciano touch. Made with a mix of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, it offers the best of both worlds: Italian character and international accessibility.
