Hey, Edmonton beer lovers! Join us for a Sudsy Soirée on March 9 to experience a mini festival-style beer tasting event. We’ll have at least 25 beers from six of Edmonton’s most prolific brewers and importers here for you to sample their newest and most popular brews! For only $25 you’ll be treated to some amazing suds, music, tasty snacks, and even raffles and door prizes. Oh, and did we mention a 10% discount on all beers that evening for attendees? And if that’s not enough to entice you – all proceeds from the festival are being donated to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories!

Chad, one of deVine’s own, has a father-in-law living with dementia. So he’s playing hockey in the Alzheimer Society’s Face Off pro-am hockey tournament with and against former NHL players to raise money to help find cure for dementia, and provide support for patients and families living with it today. He put together his passion for great craft beer and his need to help people like his father-in-law, and is hosting this sudsy event to help him reach his goal! We’re so fortunate to work with these amazing suppliers and brewers who are passionate about supporting their communities – their contributions, along with your support, makes these events happen.

Register online here… Space is limited to sixty people, so book early! This is one Soirée you won’t want to miss!

2015 Louis Jadot’s

Filed under: deVine's Daily Blog Article — Dirk @ 6:52 pm

The Jadot wines are precious in the year 2015, a great year for all their red burgundies as well as their Beaujolais Cru’s. We received a very limited selection with very restricted quantities as the world chases the 2015 Burg’s which are nearing the end of their distribution cycle.

A historic vintage to be sure, whispered in the same breath as the extraordinary and now ultra-expensive 2005’s. Luckily, we won’t have to wait another decade before the next greatest of the century because 2018 is rumored to be also great with a much greater yield than the small vintage that was the 2015.

Our tasting this past Saturday showed wines of fine concentration and finesse, these are the real deal. Thus, for all of you who love Pinot Noir and Gamay, stock up on these 2015’s now and you’ll be glad to have these in your cellar in 5-10 years. This is the last call for the Jadots. And although there will likely be two or three other Jadots to come later this year (the Anniversary Beaune 1er Cru, Nuits St. Georges Boudot 1er Cru), the others have come and gone already. In fact, several negociants that we usually get in Alberta (Faiveley, Bouchard Pere et Fils) did not receive any high end 2015’s this year – a great shame for us. Note quantities of the Jadot Premier Cru’s listed below are very limited so get them sooner than later.

Pictured above from left to right:

2015 Louis Jadot Bourgogne Rouge (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – $27.99

2015 Louis Jadot Chateau des Jacques Moulin-a-Vent (Beaujolais, France)- $34.99

2015 Louis Jadot Savigny-les-Beaune Clos des Guettes Rouge Premier Cru (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – $64.99

2015 Louis Jadot Beaune Boucherottes Premier Cru (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – $79.99

2015 Louis Jadot Beaune Clos des Ursules Premiere Cru (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – $116.99

Also, we have a great white Burg from 2015, the 2015 Louis Jadot Savigny les Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Guettes (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – $64.99

We will be finally receiving the special Celebration (formerly the Anniversary) release for 2015. It will be arriving in the store on Wednesday, February 6th. You can pre-order both the 750mL and the very limited 1.5L bottling below:

2015 Jadot Beaune Celebration 1er Cru (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – 750mL – $82.99

2015 Jadot Beaune Celebration 1er Cru (Burgundy – Cote de Beaune, France) – 1.5L – $174.99
