In 1962, Ridge made its first Monte Bello, its flagship wine , and two years later its first Zinfandel. Since that time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare and exceptional vineyards where climate, soil, and variety are ideally matched. Other highly sought after legends Lytton Springs and Geyserville cemented their reputation. For more than six decades, Ridge has been recognized by top critics, chefs and peers for their consistent quality and steadfast approach to winemaking. Our feature, the Three Valleys Zinfandel was first released in 2001. The wine contains grapes from ten difference Sonoma vineyards. This blending of vinryards showcases the variety and blending expertise that brings out the distinctive character of each site. Zinfandel determines the wine’s varietal character while old vine Carignan contributes bright fruit and acidity, Petite Sirah the spice and depth of color and firm tannins. Enjoy with grilled meats.
