Villa Maria is one of New Zealand’s most prominent wine producers, in terms of both quality and quantity. The company’s key vineyards are located in Marlborough, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay, with the key winemaking facilities in Marlborough. However, the company got its start in south Auckland in 1962, where it still has vineyards and a winemaking facility. The wines are distinctive, vibrant, and most importantly, delicious. In August 2021, New Zealand’s largest winegrower/producer Indevin purchased Villa Maria and its associated brands.
