There is some very interesting wines coming out of Italy made from grapes that a lot of us haven’t heard of or tasted before or acquainted with. Turbiana, Schiava, Norello Mascalese and Sagrantino, not exactly household names. Thought we’d highlight five wines from these grapes that are very unique, interesting and worthy of consideration. If you’re in an adventurous mode, look no further.

Pictured from left to right:

2021 Allegrini Lugana Oasi Mantellina (Veneto, Italy) – $33.99
2022 Elena Walch Schiava (Alto Adige, Italy) – $33.99
2019 Pietradolce Archineri Etna Rosso DOC (Sicily, Italy) – $55.99
2022 Sibiliana Roceno Nerello Mascalese Rosso (Sicily, Italy) – $22.99
2018 Antonelli San Marco Montefalco Sagrantino (Umbria, Italy) – $61.99

Enjoy everyone!
